While I’m not a mommy blogger, I am still a mother of a young child and I definitely try to save money whenever possible. I also like to share those money saving tips with you! Mobile and manufactured homes will always be my first priority here, but getting to try out new products is always fun, too!
My daughters 9th birthday was on August 19 and she wanted a new bicycle (which she got). However, I had just received the Waterpik systems and I went ahead and wrapped them up and let her open them on her big day, too. Another gift to open is always a good thing right? I thought she would be all “Mom, why did you give me this? I’m 9, I don’t want a tooth brush or a flossing system.” Boy, was I wrong!
The minute she realized what it was, she ripped the box open while exclaiming “Oh, I’ve seen these, I’ve always wanted one” and took it to the bathroom. We went over the instructions and tried it out. It took us a few minutes to get the hang of it. Lot’s of water sprayed all over the bathroom and plenty of giggles later, we had mastered it. I think we may have gotten the hang of it a bit sooner but we were having way to much fun!
Later that same day (her birthday was on a Sunday) she tried it out again and then before bed she used it again! I should tell you that getting my daughter to brush her teeth and to floss is not the easiest job. She would rather draw, read, play, watch TV, play on the computer, or just pretend she is so tired that staying up 5 more minutes to take care of her teeth would be detrimental to her health.
We’ve had the Waterpik systems for over a week now. She happily uses the Sensonic toothbrush and the water flossing system every morning and every night. I’ve even heard the system being used immediately after dinner a couple of times. It’s fun, it’s new and it’s working!
The Complete Care Water Flossing Systems are:
Up to 159% more effective vs. manual brushing!
3x as effective as flossing and 1000x more fun!
Here’s a Fun fact:
Flossing regularly actually improves life expectancy since it decreases your likelihood of gum AND heart disease.
I’m so glad I got to try these systems out. Had I known that it would make brushing and flossing such a fun activity for my daughter I would’ve purchased them years ago. Like any mother, I want the best for my child. I’m also a firm believer in the old motto “you get what you pay for.” In this case, I’m getting the peace of mind that my daughter will take care of her teeth and gums which, in turn, gives her a healthy body! It’s a win-win for us both!
Thank you for taking the time to read Mobile Home Living!
10/25/13 Update: It’s been more than a year since we received the products and my daughter uses the toothbrush twice a day. The water flossing is only used a few times a month, I guess the ‘new’ wore off. She has no cavities and the dentist is always pleased at the appointments. This is not a cheap product by any means but I think this is a prime example of the motto ‘you get what you pay for.’ The toothbrush rarely needs charged, the travel case is convenient and it’s keeping my daughter’s teeth healthy.
I hope you enjoyed our first sponsored review. I was given the systems in exchange for this review. The opinions are my own. WaterPik Water Flosser Fun
It's easy and it works. The price is a bit high though (or I'm just a cheapskate). The toothbrush charge is long lasting and rarely needs re-charging. The dentist is please at appointments and the kid hasn't asked for one of those toothbrushes that plays Justin Beiber songs yet so I consider this a win!
