The modern farmhouse style has taken the country by storm and it’s always fun to see how homeowners give the style their own unique look. We found this 1977 double wide remodel for sale in California and it is a perfect example of the modern farmhouse style.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath double wide manufactured home sold for $155,000. It sets in a gated community called The Colony. The annual rental for the lot is $8,496 which equals out to $708 per month and that includes sewer, a community pool, tennis, gym, a beautiful clubhouse, and beautiful mountain views. That’s not bad at all for California.

The colony’s clubhouse is gorgeous.
The pool has great mountain views.

Lovely Living Room

Bleached ceilings and white walls make a great canvas for the popular modern cottage style.

Metal wire pendant lighting has been a big hit in home decor for a few years now. It works well with a couple of different decorating styles like modern farmhouse, industrial, and even bohemian. Metal light fixtures are very affordable compared to other types of light fixtures.

The black doornobs are a great detail and I love how the space is balanced.

The family room is comfortable but still very beautiful.

Wooden shutters are a great asset to any home.

A Kitchen Built for a Chef

Love the kitchen. It’s small but well planned with lots of storage space and work areas. The second sink in the island is a great feature.

I’m in love with the backsplash!

This is a great layout. The kitchen is in its own nook but still has an open floor plan with the family room right beside it.

With a kitchen as stylish as this one, you have to have an equally stylish dining room. It is gorgeous!

Minimal Bedroom, Fabulous Bathroom

The master bedroom suite in this 1977 double wide is perfect for resting. It’s so simple and soothing but there’s a surprise as soon as you walk into the bathroom.

This photo shows the ample storage in the bedroom but it also gives you a peek at that gorgeous bathroom tile.

This is an amazing bathroom!

The guest bedroom and bathroom aren’t too shabby either.

Love the aesthetic of this bathroom. It’s a feast for the eyes.

Even the laundry room is gorgeous. The cement countertops are a perfect addition to the subtle space.

Home Sweet Home

Of course, the exterior is just as nice as the interior.

I especially love how the homeowner mixed and matched so many textures throughout the home. That’s not an easy thing to do. By staying within the same color palette and being careful to not overwhelm a space with one texture the homeowner pulled it off beautifully.

This home is beautiful and a great representation of the potential of manufactured homes. They can look just as great as any site-built home.

As always, thanks for reading Mobile Home Living!
