It’s not often that you can find a complete single wide renovation that costs less than $3000, but that’s just what we found when we reached out to members of our Mobile Home Living Facebook group to submit their remodeling projects to us. We can’t wait to share this budget-friendly remodel with you!

The Sierra Single Wide Before

Emilio, an EMT from Tampa Florida, had always wanted a mobile home, so when he came across one in a nice family park he decided to make the jump into Mobile Home Living.

Of course, the single wide was in need of some major renovation. New floors, fresh coat of paint throughout, and both the kitchen and the bathrooms were in need of some TLC.

Those walls are way too dark.
The kitchen offers tons of counter space.
This rooms needs some love!
The guest bath is small but can easily be updated.
The shower stall seems to be in good condition.

Budget-Friendly Single Wide Renovation

Emilio tells us that the majority of his $3000 remodeling budget went into flooring. That, along with the lighter paint color throughout the home, and lightening up the kitchen cabinets, totally changed the look of this single wide.

The right furniture placement can maximize your living space.

Emilio tells us that the kitchen is his favorite room in his new home. He enjoys baking loves all the extra counter space has in the kitchen.

Hard to believe these are the same cabinets.
A small dining table doesn’t overwhelm the room.
No more pink and purple.
The lighter floor and paint make the small bath seem bigger.
Updated shower doors and the same color scheme complete the master bath.

Emilio’s Tips and Tricks

We asked Emilio if he had any words of wisdom to share with our readers about remodeling a mobile home and he offered up a few tips and tricks as well as what his biggest challenge was as well as his proudest DIY moment was.

Proudest DIY moment: Taking the old closet door knobs and spray painting them oil rubbed bronze and coming out absolutely amazing for less than 3.00!

Biggest Challenge: Replacing the exhaust fans in the bathrooms and hallway. -SIDE NOTE definitely wear eye protection at all times!

Tip to Share: If your mobile home has original sink faucets and it has calcified and is not coming loose dissemble the whole sink take it out of the counter and use locking pliers and it will give you leverage to change out the faucet without much struggle laying on your back.

There is so much to love about this single wide renovation, but our favorite part is that Emilio was able to completely transform this home for less than $3,000. Which is why Mobile Home Living is affordable living!
