The Search For the Perfect RV

In 2017 Christina and her family, who live in Canada, were on the lookout for an RV to explore the many National Parks during the summer. Finally, after months of searching, they found a 5th wheel camper for only $1000. Although structurally sound, they RV was in need of some TLC. Fortunately, the couple was DIY experts so they knew they would have no trouble completing this cozy RV remodel. You can see more about the RV before the update here: Introducing Our DIY Camper: The Before & The Design Ideas.

Unfortunately, the RV had some water damage that needed to be addressed first. This required tearing out the entire back kitchen wall and flooring and replacing it and resealing the exterior. Next up, a good cleaning and some serious painting. Don’t forget, just like with any remodel, painting is the easiest to update any space.

A Look at the Updated RV

Some of the most impressive features of this cozy RV remodel include creating a faux barn look with wallpaper on some of the walls, the peel and stick tiles in the kitchen, and the cool lighting fixtures. Take a look!

Christina sewed all of the coverings herself.
Butcher block replaced the old tabletop.
The steps leading to the bedroom.

We love how Christina was able to do all these updates without it being too expensive. What a great example of using what you have and turning it into something new! Be sure to check out Christina’s website The DIY Mommy where she talks about crafts, home decor and more.
