This renovated 1968 manufactured home was recently sold in Palm Springs in a 55+ community for $255,000. At only 652 square feet, this one bedroom/one bath is totally tricked out both inside and out. Let’s take a look.

Custom Finish

We understand that mobile homes like these aren’t for everyone. But it is pretty cool that an architect could take a 1968 model home and transform it so completely that you can’t even recognize it from its original design. And, homes like this are becoming common in places like Palm Springs, Malibu, and other luxury communities. We even showcased a Palm Springs community a few years ago full of trendy smaller mobile homes.

Now let’s look at what the listing had to say about the property:

This home is not only turnkey furnished and move-in ready, but it is also one of the most tricked out mobile homes this agent has ever seen. It is a custom and architectural wonder located at Ramon Mobile Park. You will go ‘Wow’ when you see it. When this home was renovated in 2020 , the finishes and upgrades put in place made it truly a one-of-a-kind property.

The custom home includes 9.5 to 13 ft-double beamed exposed wood ceilings, clerestory windows, skylights, and open-concept living. There’s a gourmet kitchen with quartz countertops, high-end appliances, a large island, an ice maker, and a tucked-away full-size washer and dryer. The bath includes a soaking tub with a rain shower, There is even an outdoor shower! A tankless water heater, dual pane windows, and a custom electric fireplace complete the interior of this home.

Would love to know the architect’s inspiration for this home.
The exposed beams really add character.
Transom windows add so much light.
Notice the room divider?
Sometimes you have to splurge and on the tub!

Curb Appeal Galore

If the inside isn’t enough to impress the outside is even more amazing. With spectacular mountain views, this 1968 manufactured home sits behind a privacy gate and offers plenty of room to entertain. It’s amazing to see the manufactured home transformed into what the architect who designed it Dale Ortmann called ”your private indoor-outdoor escape”.

It’s hard to have a private deck when you have a small property.
Such a dramatic exterior.

We did a little digging to see if we could find any before pictures of the 1968 manufactured home, but we weren’t able to find one. We want to give a big thanks to the Facebook Group I Love Manufactured/Mobile Homes whose members always share great homes like these that we can then share with our readers.

As always, thanks for reading Mobile Home Living®.
