Listed in April of 2023, this 1954 vintage trailer barely lasted over a month before it was picked up for a surprisingly reasonable price of $145,000. The tiny home, rumored to have once belonged to Desi Arnaz, and located inside the Horizon Mobile Village and RV Park, sits right below the famous Bob Hope house. (If you want to see more on the listing you can find it on Redfin)

This isn’t the first mobile home we have shared that had ties to Lucy and Desi, a few years ago we posted about the Long, Long Trailer book that was then made into a movie played by the couple. So, of course, we knew this one had to be shared with our readers as well.

A Complete Retro Vibe

Purchased for just $5,000 by a designer during the pandemic, Lucille was stripped down to her frame and then brought back to her original beauty, full of retro furnishings but with all the modern conveniences including a dishwasher. Just take a look at what a beautiful restoration job the seller did. There is no doubt this was a well-planned remodel.

Although small, the furniture doesn’t overwhelm the space.
Pops of color bring the kitchen to life.
There’s a side porch off the bedroom with plenty of privacy.
Look at that shower tile!

Indoor/Outdoor Living At Its Finest

The seller was not only able to really show off his design skills inside but outside as well. Between the perfect pastel paint job and the great use of the patio and covered porch area, the 1954 vintage trailer exterior is as amazing as the interior. It’s no wonder the home only stayed on the market for a month!

A one-of-a-kind beauty for sure!

The price tag on this 1954 vintage trailer was definitely a little steep compared to others in the park, however, it did come furnished so the new owners were able to enjoy the complete retro vibe of their new home without having to go out and shop for the look themselves.

The home has been featured in several articles since its transformation and according to the listing agent there was no shortage of interested buyers, even with the hefty HOA and lot lease. We can definitely see the appeal, especially if you are into the retro vibe! Not to mention who wouldn’t want to own a piece of Hollywood history that may have been owned by Desi himself?

Don’t forget, if you see a cool remodel you think our readers would love, comment below or shoot us an email. We are always looking for mobile homes to share!

As always, thanks for reading Mobile Home Living®.
