How Mobile Home Living begin (the short version):

I started Mobile Home Living out of frustration in August of 2011 after my ex-husband and I bought a 1978 single wide on a rent-to-own contract for $6,000.

A few months later we received a decent tax refund and I wanted to update the interior a bit so I typed 4 little words in the search bar: mobile home remodeling ideas expecting to find before and after photos and repair tutorials but that didn’t happen at all. I was astonished!

During that search for remodeling ideas I learned that there were over 18 million Americans living in a factory-built home. I had no idea!

More than 18 million Americans lived in a mobile home but we didn’t have a single resource that offered remodeling ideas or decorating inspiration.

So, I decided to create my own. Mobile Home Living has grown into the most popular and trusted online resource for all mobile and manufactured homeowners in America.

Mobile Home Living is not just a blog, it’s a trusted resource.

Our articles are used as reference material by Harvard Law review fggfffand Stanford University and Federal Agencies like HUD and Fannie Mae. I was the manufactured housing expert for About.com and the Spruce for 4 years too. You can read more about my story here.
