This double wide in Miami is a great example of what a manufactured home remodel can achieve. With a sleek modern style, this home sets itself apart from the others easily. I found this home on Ebay and was quickly drawn to the modern style and open floor plan.
This home was for sale. The price seems fair at $58,000 (I’m not a real estate professional) and it sets in an adult community with pool, sauna, security gates and is only minutes from the beach. (Home has since sold, but its still a gorgeous home to get remodeling inspiration from!)
Stainless steel appliances, travertine tile, and a kitchen island complete the kitchen beautifully. The whole home is modern and clean.
This is a 1987 model double wide with 1680 sq. feet and has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I wish there were before photos to see if they tore down walls but there isn’t. We can still enjoy the after photos though.
The bathroom has his and her pedestal sinks, rain shower head in an oversized tub and separate toilet vanity areas. Every detail is made for modern and comfortable living.
Without the before photos, we’ll never know just how much was changed. New tile, paint, kitchen appliances, bathroom gut and redo can all make drastic changes to a manufactured home. Of course, the cost will always be the biggest complication but if you can do most of the labor yourself you can save a lot of money in the process. By hiring only the most needed professionals like plumbers and electricians you can practically cut a remodeling budget in half.
I like this home. It’s soothing yet modern. The colors aren’t too dark or too light. The tile color throughout the home gives a good base color that will match any style. I would paint the kitchen island a different color though. That’s the only change I can see that I would make. Whoever designed and picked out the materials has a great sense of taste and style.
