Bright And Colorful Single Wide Is A Masterpiece

One of our many favorite things about our Facebook group Mobile Home Living: Remodels and Repairs are the homes like this bright and colorful single wide that our members share with us. With over 2,000 likes and more than 500 comments on the group page, we knew this would be a home we had to share with our readers.

A Vision Come to Life

Michelle tells us that about 8 years ago she and her husband bought a 16X80 single wide mobile home that is now 22 years old. A couple of years ago they decided to completely remodel it. It was previously a 3 bedroom but they wanted a large living room so took out the small bedroom to increase the living room size.

The couple are both big fans of color. So since Michelle is an artist, they decided to create a bright and colorful single wide that matched their personalities.

Michelle redid the furniture, some of which were thrift finds, trash finds, and some yard sale finds. She also painted the walls, created the artwork, painted all the doors and accessories for the space. Of course we couldn’t wait to share it with you!

All of the colors blend together perfectly.
Love this bench.

Turquoise is the focal color of the space.
Michelle even gave their door character!

Attention to Detail

We love how much attention to detail Michelle has taken with her bright and colorful single wide. She has worked so hard to get just the look she was trying to achieve. Even her plates have flair.

The kitchen is also a masterpiece of art. The coffee bar was made for a next to nothing in cost because she just redid a TV armoire from Goodwill . Hutch also very cheap, just $50 plus cost of paint. Refinished all to go along with Michelle’s very favorite Pioneer Women decor line

Love the cabinet accents.

Love this!

Michelle tells us she is so proud of the artistic stamp she has put on their home and can’t wait to finish up the rest of the spaces. They are in the middle of redecorating the master bedroom and master bath. Planning to put a pretty mural in the bathroom and turn the bedroom furniture into works of art. Michelle’s husband is a art lover so she is doing the bedroom furniture as a surprise for him. Future projects include doing something unique outside as well to match their original interior.

Now, Michelle’s look may not be for everyone. However, it definitely proves that a homeowner can take a manufactured home and transform it into whatever their vision may be for it, and isn’t that what we all want for our homes?

If you love Mobile Home Art, another great artist, Marisa Murrow, has shared her artwork with us on a couple of different occasions. Take a look: Marisa Murrow: A Mobile Home Artist and Mobile Home Art by Marisa Murrow.
