A Little Paint Can Transform any Space

First up, a before and after from our friend Steve who is a long-time contributor to our Mobile Home Living sites. Steve took his dark paneled walls and transformed them with a nice light paint color. Steve even shared the paint color with us, Behr Pesto Green, which is a soothing and calming color.

Dark walls make a room seem so much smaller.

Next, Pamela, a member of our Facebook group shared her before and after of her beach cottage. Her paint inspiration came from her favorite place to visit each Fall, Mackinac Island. This looks like the perfect spot for a getaway!

The perfect spot for relaxing.

A Whole New Look

If you are looking to change more than just the color of the walls in your home, these next mobile home remodeling ideas are for you!

Luisa incorporated so many great ideas into her remodel it’s hard to believe it’s even the same room.

  • First, the carpet was removed and the laminate or hardwood flooring was installed.
  • The wood look chair rail was removed and the wainscoting replaced it.
  • Fresh paint for the room, including the ceiling beam.
  • And, for the finishing touch, the fireplace was given a facelift.
This open floor plan has so much potential.
WOW!

Dee Dee did a great job updating her living room after she purchased the home. Fresh paint that includes a nice accent wall, and an addition of an area rug over the carpet help to complete the look.

This room could use a major upgrade.

You can add an area rug over carpet to add dimension to the room.

Our member Monica took out the worn carpet in the living room and dining area and replaced it with hardwood/laminate flooring. Fresh paint, an area rug, and some updated furniture and accessories completed the look.

This room needs some love.
Look how great this home looks.

Tammie wasn’t able to share any before pics from her mobile home remodel, however, she gave us some great mobile home remodeling ideas and we love what she did with the space. She pulled the room together nicely with well-placed decor and an area rug to create a cozy and inviting space.

A Little of This, A Little of That

Deb shares with it that it’s amazing what a little paint and new flooring can do to make a cozy living room.

The perfect spot to unwind from the day.

Cassonia N Jason completely remodeled their small mobile home and we love what they have done with the place. We especially love the fall decor!

Rhonda updated the area around her fireplace with shiplap and some gorgeous decor.

  1. You can definitely paint them, but they will most likely need a primer first. Make sure they are nice and clean, apply a coat or two of primer, then paint them white. Good luck!

  2. Hi – we’ve lived in a double wide manufactured home for almost 10 years. I’ve painted the walls several times and they look great. Now I’d like to work on the crown and toe molding – not by replacing them, but by painting them white to give the rooms a more updated look. They’re currently what appears to be a medium maple color. I’m not sure that they’re made of solid wood – just whatever is standard issue for a mobile home. Is it possible to paint over them ? Thanks for any info you can provide me with.
