I love to see how mobile homeowners decorate their homes. This cute coastal single wide in Maine is definitely no exception.
The listing states:
Simply amazing! The seller is only taking a couple of tools, computer, and clothes – everything else is included. Neat as a pin two bedroom, 1 bath home. Cozy and energy efficient. Uses approximately a little over a tank of oil per year. Electric bills average $60 – $130.00 tops. Assessed by the city of Phippsburg for $120,000. Great place to start or wind down. Over an acre and a half to spread out. Nice, peaceful quiet location. A must see! (Note: Home sold for $114,000)
When first walking into this coastal single wide you can’t help but notice the very cool fireplace insert in the living room. With its tiled walls and ceramic floor surrounding it, the small wood burner looks like it was made for this home.
The fireplace to this home was just the icing on the cake!
The open floor plan with the end kitchen was very popular in the mid 80’s models of single wides. Their layout is perfect for entertaining since the kitchen and living room flow together.

One of the biggest struggles mobile homeowners face is a lack of natural light. That is definitely not a problem in this coastal single wide kitchen. A large end bay window creates a nice spot for a breakfast nook as well as gives plenty of light to brighten up the kitchen. The only updates that I see that may still need to be completed would be updated lighting to match the new look in the kitchen.

Some single wides can feel cramped and small. Light colors and breaking up the walls with beadboard is a great idea. Also, the homeowners used a stackable washer and dryer to give them extra space as well.

Bedrooms can definitely be a challenge in a single wide. However, the owners did a great job of maximizing their rooms. The first room is used not only as a bedroom but also has a cool workspace/office area.

The master bedroom offers a nice one-of-a-kind look with a wood focal point and the same accent on the footboard of the bed. And, although the bedroom includes large furniture pieces the room doesn’t feel too overwhelmed.

What’s not to love about this bathroom? The walls and ceiling complement each other perfectly to make what would normally feel like a tiny space feel much larger. The only change I can see that might make the room feel complete, might be an updated set of shower doors to finish out the remodel.

As you can see this coastal single wide has so much to offer. An updated look, lots of natural light and plenty of storage are just a few things to love about this mobile home. Homes like this are exactly why we love Mobile Home Living. They are full of inspiration for all mobile homeowners!
