Small Mobile Home Becomes Sensational Weekend Hideaway

This 800-square-foot small mobile home is the perfect example of making the most of a small space. Designer Susan Taylor was able to turn this second home, located in the famous Paradise Cove luxury community, into the perfect vacation hideaway.

The ultimate goal the owners of this small mobile home had was for this to be their weekend getaway space that could be enjoyed by the entire family and their friends. With that in mind, they knew most of the home would need to do double-duty in order to maximize space. Built-ins were added along the walls, along with day beds with built-in storage bins to help create a uncluttered space while still giving lots of storage options.

The first purchase for the small mobile home was a light blue vintage-style refrigerator. The rest of the color scheme and vibe was then built around that. Light and airy, with a welcoming feel, the home has a Scandanavian look with a little California cool mixed in.

We have to say we absolutely love what the designer and owners accomplished with this small mobile home. It has a minimalist feel while still being welcoming and they made great use of the entire space by adding built-ins and hidden storage spaces.
As always thank you for reading Mobile Home Living®.

Is the mobile home living magazine still available? I signed up for it twice and haven’t gotten an issue, or is it available in certain states? I was so looking forward to the magazine. Are you still doing the newsletter? I haven’t gotten a newsletter for a couple of months. I mii those. Thanks for your help. Rachel
